1. Isle of Dogs (2018)

An animated film that takes place in Japan of the future. The mayor of one of the cities announces a “dog flu” and quarantines pets on a remote island. But not all owners are ready to part with their pets – 12-year-old boy Atari goes by plane to the island to find his dog. There he meets five local dogs – Chief, Rex, Boss, Duke and King, who are fed up with the isolation of the island and the malnutrition, and they agree to help the boy. They have to face the Japanese authorities who show up after Atari. With its witty dialogues, exciting plot and beautiful picture, this puppet cartoon will appeal to people of all ages.

2. Matilda (1996)

The story is about a genius girl, Matilda, who grows up in a family of very down-to-earth parents who ignore her. From an early age, she reads books, learns to cook, does laundry herself and dreams of going to school. Her wish comes true – her father enrolls Matilda in his client’s school, where she is the principal, and there the adventures begin. The girl surprises her classmates and the good teacher Miss Honey with her knowledge. In addition, the girl reveals other abilities in herself: it turns out that she can move objects with her eyes and even control them from a distance! But not everyone is delighted with Matilda – the capricious headmistress terrorizes and intimidates not only her students, but also teachers, and a little girl decides to stop her, using all her abilities.

3. The Big Friendly Giant (2016)

A little girl named Sophie more than once had to hear a scary story about the witching hour, when a mysterious creature appears and people disappear. Sophie is sure that all these horrors happen at three o’clock in the morning, and not at midnight, as others believe. A brave girl decides to check if it is so and stays up. At three o’clock, a giant appeared, who noticed her and took her to his country. Sophie will have to get acquainted with the world of giants and find out something unexpected about her kidnapper.

4. The Adventures of Paddington (2015)

A touching story about a cute, polite and neat bear who came to London from the sleepy jungles of Peru to find a family and become a real gentleman. Already at the Paddington station (it is from this name that the bear got its name) the hero’s adventures begin, and circumstances introduce him to the friendly Brown family, which he soon becomes a part of. But an evil female taxidermist stands in the way of the kind and naive bear, who has the obsessive idea of ​​turning Paddington into an effigy for the museum. This is a cute family film with a dynamic plot that perfectly conveys the atmosphere of London and its colorful inhabitants.

5. The House with a Clock in the Walls (2018)

The tape tells about the orphan Lewis, who moves in with his strange uncle Jonathan and his unusual neighbor in a big old house. Soon the boy realizes that his new guardian and his girlfriend are not ordinary people, but wizards who are busy looking for clocks hidden in the house. These clocks are not simple, they count the time remaining until the end of the world. This means that the newly minted trio has to find them and save the world from destruction. But will they make it?
